Target Data Security Breach
PLCU is aware of the recent data breach at Target stores and is working closely with our card services partners to implement additional fraud parameters to monitor PLCU cardholder accounts.
PLCU has very sophisticated fraud monitoring systems in place, however, as a good practice; you should always closely monitor your accounts and promptly notify the credit union if you notice unusual transactions. Please keep in mind Visa®’s Zero Liability policy guarantees that you are not held responsible for fraudulent charges to your account.
PLCU takes the protection of your data very seriously and again, we are monitoring this situation very closely. We are working closely with Visa® to monitor transaction activities. If we have identified that your debit and/or credit card data may be at risk, we will contact you with detailed information regarding the replacement of your card.
